Fettercairn Primary School and Nursery is located in the picturesque and historic village of Fettercairn some 35 miles south-south west of Aberdeen. The school’s catchment area is the village and surrounding rural area. In Fettercairn there is the Primary and Nursery School, a Church, the Village Shop, a Post Office, Hotel, Restaurant, Garage, Play Park with tennis, bowling and football facilities.
The main school was built is 1963 which provides 2 classrooms, resource room, school office, Head Teacher’s office, staff room, boys / girls toilets, cleaner’s cupboards, hall, kitchen, adult lounge, additional toilets and Aberdeenshire library. In 1974 an extension of 2 classrooms, nursery room, art area, boys / girls toilets and cloakroom area were added. There is a garden area to the front of the school and a hard surfaced playground.
